The pre-release kit comes with 6 SOI Boosters, 1 foiled date-stamped promo card from rare or mythic rare, and a spindown life dice.

Format: minimum 40-card sealed deck, constructed from the 6 SOI boosters for the prerelease kit.

Mechanics:

  1. Double-faced cards (DFC):  It has two card faces and no back.  DFC is like the planeswalker cards in Magic Origins with different rules.  Briefly, the front face of DFCs (and some back faces) each have an ability of transforms that permanent if the condition is met.   When a DFC transforms, it turns over to its other face.  For example,

2. Delirium: a ability word that highlights cards that get better if you have four or more card types represented in your graveyard.  For example,

3. Investigate:  a new key word which allows you to put a clue token onto the battlefield. A Clue is a new colorless artifact type, and have the ability “{2}, Sacrifice this artifact: Draw a card.”.   For example,

4. Madness:  If you discard a card with madness, you exile it instead of putting it into your graveyard.  This causes an ability to trigger.  When that ability resolves, you can cast the spell for its madness cost.  Typically, madness cost is lower.

5. Skulk:  Creature with skulk can’t be blocked by any creature with greater power.   For example,

These are the notable common & uncommon cards that I think are good in limited seal deck.
